Statement issued by the Municipality of Majdal Anjar:  
Since the very first moment of the Israeli aggression, which led to the closure of the international road in the Al-Masnaa area and caused an obstruction in waste transportation to the town's landfill, the Municipality of Majdal Anjar has taken immediate action to find a solution. This included contacting the Bekaa Governor and the Lebanese Army Command to reopen the road, but these efforts were unsuccessful due to the stubborn refusal of the Israeli enemy, who is threatening to target any vehicle attempting to pass through to the landfill.  

Additionally, communications were made with the mayors of Zahleh - Al-Muallaqa, Qabb Elias, the Qaemmaqam of Western Bekaa (who is responsible for managing the affairs of the Soueiri Municipality), and the Bar Elias landfill management. The response was that they were unable to accommodate the waste in the mentioned town landfills, even for a fee.  

Further communications took place with the President of the Union of Municipalities of Al-Buhayra, Mr. Yahya Dahir, who expressed his willingness to accommodate the waste in the Jib Jannine landfill. However, the plant is logistically out of service. Mr. Hassan Qassem Hamoud has shown readiness to repair this plant, enabling it to accept the waste.  

Therefore, we are scheduled for tomorrow, God willing, to be informed about the readiness of the plant in the Jib Jannine landfill and its capacity.
